Growing up outside of Philadelphia, Ian’s family frequented the many small independent restaurants and sandwich shops that have defined the city’s unique culinary identity. With an appreciation for the conviviality and energy embodied within these neighborhood institutions, Ian started working at a local restaurant in Rochester, NY after graduating from the University of Rochester, which inspired his decision to attend the International Culinary Center. Since moving to the city, Ian has worked in the kitchens of Parish Hall, Blue Hill NY, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns until taking a job at franny’s where he is excited to work everyday with the restaurant’s talented and energetic staff. In his spare time, Ian is an avid cyclist and a violist.
